About me
Hi! I’m Louise.
I offer outdoor therapy in and around Faversham, Kent. I also offer indoor sessions at Apotheca in Faversham, and telephone counselling.
Contact me for a free initial consultation to see if I’m the right therapist for you. I currently have availability for indoor and outdoor therapy on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Check out my Frequently Asked Questions page for details about my referral process, prices and more.
In addition to therapeutic counselling, I am co-Founder of The Wild Space Kent, a project formed by fellow outdoor therapist, Nick Langley, and myself. The project aims are to increase access to outdoor therapy and nature-based self-reflective workshops in Kent. We do this through running training for therapists and workshops for the public.
I am an Accredited Professional Member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (formerly the National Counselling Society).
I am part of the Kent End of Life Doula Collective and co-host the Faversham Death Cafe and related end of life information events in the Faversham area, including the Embracing Life Through Facing Death event.

I am an integrative counsellor and wild therapist which means I draw on different counselling concepts and adapt our sessions to suit your needs and the issues you want to explore. I focus on how you are experiencing life in the here and now, on your past experiences, where you are in your life and where you are headed. This often leads to exploration of how you experience life, of what holds you back and what motivates you forward.
I, along with nature as a co-therapist when we are outside, provide a non-judgmental, inquisitive and confidential space for you to talk about your thoughts, feelings and embodied sensations.
I work collaboratively with you – you are the expert in your life and in what works and doesn’t work for you. I bring a range of “tools” , an open curiosity and an understanding of psychological theory to help explore any issues or changes you would like to make in your life. I see the therapeutic relationship as an opportunity for truth, freedom and connection, and approach my work with you from a place of authenticity and empathy.
My therapeutic approach is inspired by nature; life cycles and natural growth processes inform my understanding and approach to our internal processes and experiencing of the world. I offer a number of ways we can incorporate nature into our sessions; from using natural materials in creative work and exploring metaphors in our indoor sessions, to walking therapy or holding our sessions at the beach.
Providing a variety of methods for you to draw on to explore and express your thoughts and feelings is important to me, and I offer a range of creative techniques and exercises that can enhance the sessions. I welcome suggestions for adapting our work together and will aim to create and hold a therapeutic space in which you can thrive.
